Charging measurements

Charging measurements, walk test, DIN 54 345 / Part 2 Measurements of the inclination to electrostatic charging during walk test

Duration of the walk test:
The voltage charge is measured when the test person touches the floor covering with both feet.

Floor coverings are considered to be antistatic when the voltage charge does not rise above 2000 V (definition according to Memorandum EDV 1, issued 7/84 by the TFI of Aachen for Carpets).

One minute (shuffling onees feet) at 23°C and at 25% relative humidity.

For the material of the soles, a special rubber material is used from the German Federal Materials Testing Institute.

This material is slightly conductive, offering a resistance of approximately 109 Ω between the test person and a conductive floor.
